Hammondsport Central School junior high awards assembly

On Friday, June 8, 2007, the Hammondsport Junior- Senior High School honored those junior high school students who showed outstanding achievement in the classroom and in co-curricular activities.

The following students received certificates recognizing them for outstanding academic achievement in their respective classes in 7th Grade: Kevin Benedict (English. History. Math, Phys. The Coaches Award honoring outstanding athletes was presented to Matthew Bussmann and Danielle Smith in 7th grade, and Joshua Malone and Brooke Gordon in 8th grade.

Hammondsport Teachers Association Scholarship Awards of $50 Savings Bonds were presented to Kevin Benedict, Bennett Preston, and Jacob Albright.

The Citizenship Award for 7th grade was awarded to Bennett Preston, and to Cejae Scotchmer in 8th grade.

Christopher Bason was awarded a certificate honoring him as the student who has shown the most improvement over the past two years in Junior High.

The Parent Teacher Organization presented a $50 Volunteer Award to Cora Moyer.

The Principal's Award for Academic Excellence, recognizing the achievement of high honor roll throughout all of 7th and 8th grade was presented to Rachel Armstrong, Kevin Blatt, Brandi Egresi, Brooke Gordon, Christopher Haluszczak, Joshua Malone, Cora Moyer, Kelly Perz, Keegan Rawlins, Cassidy Riekofski, Cejae Scotchmer, Anthony Secondo, and Brandon Walruth.

Pefect attendance awards were given to Katherine Coons, Audrey Derr, Lukas Dickerson, Mi c haela Kinney, Bennett Preston, Christopher Reese, Brigitte Zyla, Kyle Dencenburg, Hannah Jacquier, Ashlee Landolf, Joshua Malone, Cejae Scotchmer, and Jessica White.

EBS Reading Awards were presented to Cejae Scotchmer, Kelly Perz, Jessica White, Joshua Malone, Rachel Armstrong, Brynn Day, Elaine Drake, Kevin Blatt, Brooke Gordon.

Coray Moyer was presented with an 8th grade Writing Award.

Certificates were presented to the following students for their outstanding participation in a musical production: Jessica Anthony, Susan Sincerbox, Michaela Kinney, Richard Kline, Brigitte Zyla, and Michael Quade.
