H-port JV baseball records perfect season

The future certainly looks bright for Lakers baseball. The Hammondsport Lakers JV Baseball team went undefeated during the 2007 season with a record of 12-0. "The boys really stepped it up this year both on the field and at the plate," said fourth year Coach Jeff Clarkson.

Throwing for the Lakers this season were Ryan House with five wins (including two shutouts) and Justyn Shuck with four wins. Also helping out the Lakers on the mound with one win each were Brian Stachnik, Ryan Welles and Kyle Spinks.Ricci Wendlandt had a great season behind the plate as catcher tallying only three passed balls.

At the plate the entire team was amazing. Two players, Luke Fairbrother and Mitchell obrachta, hit out of the park home runs. Holding the Kighest batting average were Will Duncan with a .487, Justyn Schuck with a .477 and Kyle Spinks with a .459.
