Garrett R. Hogan
He was born Feb. 26, 1929 in Long Island, the son of the late William and Ellen Hogan. He was an Army Veteran he served from 1950 to 1952. He is predeceased by his parents William and Ellen Hogan, his brother Ronald Hogan and best friend in the world, his dog Pooch. Gary enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, watching baseball and Nascar with his loving wife of 39 years, Mickie. He kept very busy with his new found hobby of Computer Art. Gary loved sharing stories from his many days of fishing on Long Island. He was very active in Friends of Animals. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Mickie Hogan of Bath; two sons, John (Denelle) Taylor of Avoca, Lloyd (DeAnna) Taylor of Danville, Virginia; three daughters, Joan Hogan of Avoca, Lynette (Ed) Manheimer of Ridge, and Caryl Gahbra of Ocala, Florida; one brother, William J. Hogan, Jr. of Ocala, Florida; one sister, Joan (Bill) Danaher of Canandaigua; 14 grandchildren, Corinne, Azechia, Sadie, Jackie, Amber, Wes, Jacob, Jessica, Geniene, Allen, Bobby, Sarah, Michelle, Alexis and CJ; two greatgrandchildren, Zeke and Zoe; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours were observed Tuesday, June 19, from 5-7 p.m. at the Bond- Davis Funeral Home of Bath, where his Funeral Service was held at the conclusion of calling hours at 7 p.m. with Reverend Dan Pickering officiating. His burial will be held at the Bath National Cemetery with Full Military Honors at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials to ASCPA. |
