The blotter Felonious DWI Deputies last week charged Andrew Matarazzo Jr. of Bath with felonious driving while intoxicated and felonious driving with a blood-alcohol level greater than .08 percent. The charges followed a traffic stop on county Route 70 in the Town of Avoca, where a passenger in Matarazzo's vehicle fell out on a curve. Matarazzo is to appear at a later date in Avoca town court. Deputies were assisted at the scene by state police and Avoca fire and ambulance crews. Driving offenses Steuben County Sheriff's deputies last week charged three Bath residents with a number of driving and criminal offenses after they were stopped on the Fish Hatchery Road towing a pickup truck behind another pickup truck. The operator of the towing vehicle, Richard Longwell, 19, of Victory Drive, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt, unlawful possession of marijuana and not having a licensed driver in a towed vehicle. The operator of the towed vehicle, Chase A. Longwell, 17, of Belfast St., was charged with operating an unregistered vehicle, unlicensed operation, operating without insurance and operating an uninspected motor vehicle. During the investigation, deputies charged the owner of the towed vehicle, Kelly L. Alderman, 39, of West William St., with thirddegree aggravated unlicensed operation. Alderman allegedly drove a vehicle to the traffic stop with a suspended license.
