Bath Blaze wins Second Tournament of the Year

The Bath Blaze 15U Girls Basketball AAU team recently won their second tournament of the year at the Genesee Valley Classic in Geneseo, NY. The team finished the weekend with a perfect 4-0 record. The Blaze also recorded a tournament win earlier this year at the Western Finger Lakes Main Event tournament held in Geneva, NY.

The Bath Blaze is now in its 6th year and is part of the Bath Girls Basketball Club organization that was founded in 2002 by club president and head coach, Randy Abrams. The organization has recorded nine tournament wins at various age groups over the last six years. This year's team is currently 14- 10 with one tournament left in Fredonia, NY.

The Blaze team this year consist of: Leah Fuerst, Lis Hall, Brooke Hammond, Veronica Learn, Nikki Murat, Rachel Oest, Morgan Ostrander, Megan Russell, Casey Smith and Mary Wallis from Bath and Kaitlin Smith and Corinne Wright from Campbell- Savona.

The team is sponsored by the Bath Elks, Philips Lighting, Park Pharmacy, Bath Chiropractic, Pizza Deelite, Wilkins RV, Steuben Trust Company, Nelson's Service Center, and John Taggart & Son Insurance.
