Bath cinderella softball goes undefeated at Tournament

Bath Girls Cinderella Softball 12 & under All- Star Team goes undefeated to sweep Arkport Tournament

June 15, the Bath Cinderella All-Star Team traveled to Arkport to participate for the first tournament of their all star season.

Friday night, Bath defeated Hornell 11 to 2 to advance to the second round on Saturday. In the first match of the day, Bath defeated Addison by a score of 9 to 5. Later that afternoon, they pulled out a victory in a tight game against a strong team from Wellsville. In the bottom of the seventh, Bath stole home plate to tie the game at 2 runs a piece and send the game into extra innings. They sealed the win in the bottom of the eighth with a 3 to 2 margin to move on to the final day of the tournament on Sunday. The Bath team opened the day with win over Arkport 6 to 3 in regulation play, which placed them in the championship game. Bath finished with an impressive victory over the home team Arkport for the second time that day by a score of 14 to 5 to become champions of the tournament.

Bath out scored their opponents 43 to 19 with the Bath pitchers collecting 54 strikeouts during the tournament.

Bath will be competing in their next tournament in Horseheads this weekend.
