Lyon and Russell lead TRTC in first meet

CAMPBELL - Harley Lyon and Ashley Russell lead the Twin Rivers Track Club in their first meet of the Southern Tier Track Association's summer league. Harley Lyons was the big winner finishing with three first places in the boys 9-10 age group. Lyon placed first in the boys 50 sprint, 55 hurdles and 800 run. Ashley Russell, competing in the girls 11-12 division, brought home first place finishes in the high jump, 200 sprint and also finished third in the 800 run.

In the 8 and under division John Lyons took a sixth place in the 50 sprint and the 50 hurdles, Caine Taft finished eighth in the 55 hurdles. In the 9-10 girls division Brenna Lyons finished with a first place in the 1500 run and a third place in the 55 meter hurdles. Mika Evans also finished with a second place in the 55 hurdles and a second place in the 200 spring. In the 11-12 boys division Joel Rosko finished the night with a second place in the high jump, a third place in the 50 meter sprint, and teamed up with Devin Gwinner, Brenna Lyons and Mika Evans to place second in the 800 relay. In the girls 11-12 division Megan Bouton finished second in the high jump, Alexis Jones finished second in the shot put and Logan Scott finished third in the shot put. Bouton, Scott, Jones and Meghan Costa teamed up to place fourth in the 800 meter relay.

In the girls 13-14 division Megan Russell ran to a first place finish in the 200 meter sprint. In the girls 15-16 division Carey Crooker placed first in the 1500 meter run and Sierra White took two second place finishes in the 200 spring and the discus. Megan Rosko finished third in the girls discus. Crooker, White, Rosko and Liz Kuehner teamed up to take a second place finish in the 800 meter relay. Kuehner, White, Evans and Brenna Lyons also teamed up to place first in the 1600 meter relay. In the 17-34 age division Brett Rosko took a third place finish in the 1500 meter run and a fourth place finish in the 800 meter run. On the women's side Kathleen Thompson finished first in the 1500 meter run. Thompson also teamed up with Carey Crooker, Megan Russell and Ashley Russell to take second in the 17-34 division 1600 relay.
