Members of The Bath Branch of AAUW proudly announce their 2007 Scholarship winners. Educational Foundation Vice President Carol Olszewski presented the awards at the June 3rd banquet, held at the Curtiss Museum. Winner of The High School Graduating Senior Award is Maureen Flint, Haverling High School. She will continue her education in the fall at the Pratt Institute of Design in NYC. The Mature Woman Award winner is Melissa Murphy, who is enrolled at Corning Community College, studying Elementary Education.
Each summer, AAUW holds a yard sale as a fund raiser for such scholarships. This year's sale will take place in partnership with five young Bath ladies who have been chosen to attend a People to People Leadership Conference in the fall. The girls must be involved in funding their own expenses to attend this event. The public is urged to look for this partnership sale at the Robie Street summer sales in Bath on July 12, 13 and 14. Members of AAUW extend thanks for support of both organizations.
