40th Anniversary

On July 1, 2007 John and Rose Stratton of Bath celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary. They were married at the Avoca Methodist Church on Sat., July 1, 1967. The Rev. William E. Howell officiated the ceremony.
The bride wore a floor length white gown of taffeta and lace, and she carried a bouquet of yellow and white roses, babies' breath and ivy. Jerine Spears was matron of honor and sister of the groom Karen Stratton (Miller) and cousin of the bride Pamela Hoskinson (Clark) were bridesmaids. Flower girls were sisters of the bride Denise Scott (Santacroce) and Tammy Scott (Christner.)
Audrey Spears was best man and ushers were uncle of the bride, Franklyn Rundell and friend of the groom, Dick Brundage.
The couple honeymooned in the Adirondack Mountains.
Today, 40 years later the couple is happily married, living and working in Bath and enjoy spending time with their two daughter's families; Heather and Jeffrey Heil and sons Brenden and Garrett, and Wendy and Dan Duby and daughters Michaela, Marina, Miranda and Madison. They also enjoy antiquing, traveling and cruising in their Mustang.

They will enjoy a party thrown by their family later this month during a week long family reunion, and will be reliving their honeymoon at Lake George in the Adirondack Mountains.
