HAMMONDSPORT - Wine Country Classic Boats, Chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Society, will hosts its 25th Annual Boat Show and Regatta on beautiful Keuka Lake in the heart of the Finger Lakes Region this week.

The show begins Friday and continues through the weekend.

As in the past, this will be a judged show, with space for 48 boats in the water and many more on land. This year's feature boats are boats from the 1930's.

This is a competitive event for both power (except 3-point hydroplanes) and non-power boats. The power boats run approximately 20 miles in handicapped classes. The non-power competition is less structured and will depend on entry types.

Activities will include:

• Friday: Narrated cruise and lunch on Keuka Lake

• Friday evening: Wine tasting reception for show participants

• Saturday and Sunday: Display of over 100 antique and classic boats

• Saturday afternoon: Parade and fly-by at 3 p.m.

• Saturday night: Dinner for show participants

• Sunday: Regatta beginning at noon and a chicken BBQ at 1 p.m.

Food and beverage concession and restrooms will be available during the show,

Additional attractions are within short walking distance from the show site. The Village of Hammondsport has a town square with a beautiful park, surrounded by many antique and gift shops, an ice cream parlor and soda shop, and restaurants.
