Janet B. Christian

BATH - Janet B. Christian, age 82, of 7571 State Route 54 in Bath and formerly of State Route 415 in Campbell, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, July 10, in Bath. Janet was born in Wellsboro on January 12, 1925, the daughter of Floyd and Bertha (Copp) Burrell. In Corning in 1941, she married Phillip W. Christian, who predeceased her in 1980. Janet attended Northside High School in Corning. She had worked for many years in several different capacities at Corning Glass Incorporated in Corning. She had belonged to the Campbell Ladies Auxiliary. Janet enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

Surviving are two daughters: Sandra C. Hoke of Campbell, and Lynette (Robert) Forrest of Wilmington, North Carolina; two sisters: Mildred Gill of Addison, and Dorothy Seymour of Corning.

She is also survived by five grandchildren: Mary Beth (Emanuel) Miliotis of North Carolina, Stephen Roe of Florida, Christian Roe, also of Florida, Carrie Miller of Campbell and James (Cindy) Hoke of New York. Janet is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Janet was predeceased by two brothers and one sister.

Friends were invited to attend a graveside service Wednesday, July 18 at 11 a.m. at the Shumway Hill Cemetery in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania.
