The blotter Accident Sheriff's deputies last week charged a Farmingdale women with failure to stay in designated lane after she lost control of her car on county Route 26 in the Town of Campbell. Mary DeGregorio, 57, drove off the shoulder of the road and hit an embankment, according to deputies. The accident injured an unidentified female passenger, who was transported to Corning Hospital for treatment. The Campbell fire department assisted deputies at the scene. Criminal possession Bath village police last week arrested Charles L. Cooper, 19, of 9719 Back St., Wayne on charges of thirddegree criminal possession of stolen property, unlawfully fleeing a police office in a motor vehicle, aggravated unlicensed operation, reckless driving, failure to yield the right of way to an emergency vehicle, passing in a no-passing zone and speeding. Police say the arrest stems from a vehicle pursuit in which Cooper operated a stolen vehicle. He was arraigned in Bath village court and remanded to the county jail of $5,000 bail or a $10,000 property bond. Criminal contempt Steuben County Sheriff's deputies last week arrested Jessup A. Wilcox, 20, of Avoca on a charge of seconddegree criminal contempt. Wilcox was arraigned in Avoca town court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or a $2,000 property bond. He is to reappear in court at a later date. |
