Kenneth F. Faucett

AVOCA - Kenneth F. Faucett, 95, died Friday morning, July 20, at his home at N. Maple Ave., Avoca.

Born in Bath on Nov. 10, 1911, he was the son of the late Leon and Mary Fairfield Faucett.

He was married to the former Lillian Crocker, who predeceased him in 1989 after 59 years of marriage. Besides his parents and wife, he was also predeceased by his son, Richard Faucett.

Ken served with the U.S. Navy from 1929 to 1932. He was a former resident of Buffalo, Tonawanda and Towlesville where he owned and operated a farm and raised sheep and cows. Since 1967 he has resided in the Village of Avoca. For many years he was also employed by the Ingersoll- Rand in Painted Post before his retirement.

He was a member of the Avoca American Legion and enjoyed the time he spent planting and raising his vegetable garden.

His family includes his daughter, Sandra Faucett of Avoca; his two sons, Wendell (Michelle) Faucett and Gary (Sandy) Faucett all of Towlesville; also his 15 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

A private graveside service, with military honors, was held Tuesday, July 24, at Valley View Cemetery in Avoca, the Rev. Sande Thomas officiated.

Arrangements were with the Avoca Funeral Home, 22 N. Main St., Avoca.
