Engagement

Frederic Quan, of Bath, and Linda Quan, of Corning, would like to announce the engagement of their daughter, Dr. Amy Jill Quan of Baltimore, Maryland, to Jeffrey David Maddox, of Laurel, Delaware.

Amy is a 1996 graduate of Corning-Painted Post West High School. At Cornell University she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in molecular and cellular biology graduating magna cum laude. She earned her doctor of optometry degree in 2004 from the SUNY College of Optometry in New York City and completed her residency training at the Hudson Valley VA Medical Center in Montrose. She is currently employed as the attending optometrist at the VA Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland.

Jeffrey, son of Charles Maddox of Seaford, Delaware and Mary Wilson, of Laurel, Delaware, is a graduate of Seaford High School in Delaware. He joined the military as an army specialist and was stationed at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky until his deployment to Iraq as part of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2003. He is currently a student on the GI bill, majoring in construction management.

The couple planning a August 2007 wedding in Wilmington, Delaware.
