Arc of Steuben Sets Lake Swim

BATH - The Arc of Steuben will sponsor the first annual "Keuka Krossing" on Saturday, August 25. The event, a cross-lake swim, will pit Arc board of directors members Joe Monaco and the Rev. Sandra Curtis against any swimmers who register. The east shore-to-west shore swim will benefit The Arc of Steuben, and sponsors will be sought for the swimmers.

Sponsors who purchase a "Big Blue" sponsorship for $50 can view the event from Stonehedge Guest House on Keuka Lake., which will serve as the finish line. Also included in the sponsorship package is a full barbecue, drinks and music.

The Arc of Steuben is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1964 by a group of local parents advocating for the education of their children, which serves adults and children with developmental and other disabilities. Arc services are available to Steuben County residents, while the organization's crisis intervention and prevention services encompass seven regional counties. Services provided include: service coordination; crisis intervention and prevention; community supports; residential; vocational; transportation; clinic; and respite programs.
