Katherine (Katy) L. Bailey

BATH - Katherine (Katy) L. Bailey, 81, passed away Thursday, July 26, at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 13, 1925 in Bath, the daughter of the late George and Hattie Flint Shaut.

She married W. James Bailey on Jan. 23, 1947. She attended The First Presbyterian Church of Bath.

She was predeceased by her parents George and Hattie Shaut; her daughter, Beverly Ann; two sisters, Ella Jean Shaut and Luella Winters; three brothers, John Shaut, Ernest Shaut and Laverne Hadley; and her son-in-law, Reginald Scott on June 9, 2007.

She is suvived by her husband W. James Bailey; daughter, Linda Scott of Savona; two grandsons, Jeff (Andrea) Scott of Orange City, Florida, and Kristopher (Courtney) Scott of Campbell; four greatgrandchildren, Logan and Taylor Scott of Campbell, Rian Scott of Orange City, Florida, Patrick Dobson of Campbell; two sisters, Arlene Butler and Josephine Robinson, both of Bath.

Calling hours were observed Sunday, July 29, from 4-7 p.m. at the Bond- Davis Funeral Home of Bath, where her Funeral Service was held at the conclusion of calling hours at 7 p.m. with the Reverend Douglas Madden officiating. Her burial was private and at the convenience of the family in Grove Cemetery, Bath.
