Mary Lou J. Cornaire

BATH - Mary Lou J. Cornaire, of West Morris Street in Bath died August 6. She was born October 25, 1935 in Cape Vincent, NY, the daughter of Lewis and Doris Grimshaw Branche. Mary Lou was a 1952 high school graduate of Cape Vincent Central School in Cape Vincent, NY and she attended Nursing School for one year in Watertown and Long Island. She was married on February 27, 1954 in Cape Vincent to Lee Cornaire. Mary Lou was a homemaker who raised seven children. She worked 15 years for OTB, retiring in September of 2005. She was a member of St . Gabriel's Church in Hammondsport.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Lee Cornaire, daughter, Jan E. Cornaire of Bath; five sons, Greg L. Cornaire of Buffalo, Patrick L. Cornaire of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jay P. Cornaire of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Kelly P. Cornaire of Rochester, NY and Casey M. Cornaire of Bath, five grandsons, Justin, Elliott, Colin, Casey and Ryan Cornaire; six granddaughters, Caitlin, Kailey, Terra, Kristden, Jordan and Jill Cornaire; four great-grandchildren, Dylan, Shaylan, Kaylan and Alex Cornaire; two sisters, Patricia Krause of Euless, Texas and Jeanne Thompson of Cape Vincent, NY and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Alex Cornaire in 2003; brothers, Reverend John Branche, William Branche and Thomas Branche and her sister Betty Williams.

Friends called on Thursday, August 9 from 2-5 p.m. at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath.

A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, August 10, at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Gabriel's Church in Hammondsport with Reverend Peter Anglaaere as celebrant.

Burial was held in the Nondaga Cemetery, Bath.
