James E. Hope
He was born August 28, 1919 to Joseph Hope and May Taylor Hope in Killingly, Connecticut. He was a retired Rural Letter Carrier for Bath, member of the Bath American Legion and the V.F.W., Steuben County Historical Society, Village, Town and County Historial, former Haverling School Board and Library Board, Rural Letter Carrier Assoc., Steuben County Bath Fair Board, and Bath Presbyterian Church. He was predeceased by his wife, Marion Hope. He is survived by one son, Joseph (Malissa) Hope of N. Attaleboro, Massachusetts; one daughter, Connie (William) Hope-Bly of Fairport; three grandchildren, Lindsey and Christene Bly and James (Will) Hope. Friends called at the Seager-Jones Funeral Home, 4 East Washington Street, Bath, Tuesday, August 7, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Services were held at the funeral home at 8 p.m. with his pastor, Rev. Douglas Madden officiating with full military honors. Burial was held in Nondaga Cemetery, Bath. |
