Elvin John Whitehead

BATH/PRATTSBURGH - Elvin John Whitehead, 72, of Bath, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, in Prattsburgh.

Friends and family may call on Monday, August 13 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Bath VA Chapel. Elvin's service will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev Roger Settje officiating. Burial will be at the Bath National Cemetery. In lieu of flower, memorials may be made in Elvin's name to: Prattsburgh Volunteer Ambulance, 15 Allis St., Prattsburgh, NY 14873.

Elvin was born on October 26, 1934 in Bath, the son of the late Toby and Elva Davis Whitehead.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, playing pool and NASCAR.

He is survived by his wife, Eunice; children, BJ, Gina (Art), Kim, Mike (Michelle); grandchildren, Jazzmine Marie Lewis; sister, Shirley; brothers, Albert, Earnie, William; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Elvin was predeceased by Elvin Jr., Leona Cansdale, Betty Jean, Pat and Hank.
