Rape

The New York State Police at Bath arrested Robert J. Miller, 48, of Hammondsport, on August 9, 2007. Miller was charged with one count of 3rd , one count of Criminal Sexual Act 3rd, two counts of Sexual Abuse 3rd and one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. A joint investigation by the NYSP, Steuben Count District Attorney's Office and Steuben County Child Protective Services revealed Miller had sexual intercourse, oral sex and repeated sexual contact with a child less than 17 years old in the Town of Urbana. Miller was araigned before Town of Urbana Justice William Hewson and remanded to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash/$20,000 property bond. The investigation into Miller's conduct with minor children is continuing.
