Grand opening scheduled for Dormann Library cafe

The Dormann Library will host a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for the Dormann Library internet cafe at 11 a.m. Aug. 25.

Free coffee and beverage samples will be available along with pastries, muffins and snacks.

In addition, the Student Board of the Dormann Internet Cafe will kick off a contest for the naming of the cafe and an artistic logo design.

"We want kids to have a voice and interest in the offerings of a library and provide input to the operatives of the cafe," the board said in a formal release. "Our goal is to offer a green approach as a model to local businesses and the community."

Cafe services include free internet service and the use of wireless laptops. Products include organic teas, smoothies and flavored coffees.
