Competely in favor of Wal-Mart I'm writing in regard to the on going debate over Wal-Mart. I'm completely in favor of Wal-Mart. I recently read a few letters opposing Wal-Mart. Some of them makes me laugh. One stated that this would drive our taxes up. Surprise, surprise our taxes are already up. Does it occur to you that this might help? Being a senior citizen, I find Wal- Mart is a one stop shopping center. I can just about meet all my needs in one store. I can get my prescriptions, groceries and etc. My wife can even get her hair done if chooses. All of these are at considerably lower prices. No parking meters to deal with. Thus no tickets. A lot of the objectors are of the higher income bracket. Not considering the middle class or lower income people. If you are not a fan of Wal-Mart. So be it simple solution, stay away. Also how about Bath could do better. Well, where is it? Thus far no takers. One writer protests about Wal- Mart, if he don't agree with Wal-Mart coming in, go back to where he originated from, I'm almost sure there is a Wal-Mart there to be dealt with. Many say Wal-Mart has a lot of foreign merchandise. Show me, stores that don't! All in all, you can choose where you want to go, as for me, I'll make my own choice. Clarence Southwick Hammondsport |
