Sowersby appointed Bath clerk

BATH - Bath village Treasurer Shirley Sowersby last week was appointed village clerk/treasurer to replace Florence Mulcahy, who retired last month.

Sowersby has served as village treasurer for the past 12 years. Prior to joining the municipality, sh e worked as clerk/treasurer for the Village of Riverside for 21 years.

She is a resident of Riverside.

Sowersby's appointment was approved unanimously by the village board during its regular meeting Monday. Board members also approved the appointment of Kelly Guthrie to the position of deputy clerk-treasurer. Guthrie has worked for the past five years as tax clerk for the village. She lives in Campbell.
