Police investigating assault

New York state police in Bath are investigating an assault that occurred at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 18 on Birdseye Hollow Road ear the entrance to the Birdseye Hollow State forest. in the Town of Bradford.

A female victim was assaulted while riding her bicycle on the roadway.

The assailant was described as a clean-shaven while male with dark hair, possibly operating a dark green four-door jeep with yellow cargo - possibly a canoe or ladder - secured to the roof.

State police are seeking an information or witnesses for their investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Inv. Dennis Kemp at 776-6866.
