Jennie J. Delano

BRANCHPORT - Jennie J. Delano, 91, of Branchport, passed away at home on Saturday August 18, 2007.

Family and friends may call at the Bottoni-Wood Funeral Home, 4 Mechanic St., Prattsburgh, NY on Thursday August 23, 2007 from 10:00am to 1:00pm. Jennie's Memorial Service will follow at 1:00pm at the funeral home Rev. Maynard Stevens officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Jennie was born in Osceola, PA on December 10, 1915, the daughter of the late Myrtle "Mike" and Carrie McConnell Dunn. There was not much that Jennie did not do. She raised 10 children, ran a farm, worked at the VA Hospital in Canandaigua and at Westinghouse in Bath. She started her working career as an onion sorter for $.10 a day. Jennie was a very loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Jennie is survived by her children, Henry S. (Betty) McLoud, Shirley Potter, Marjorie (Jack) Sloan, Billy (Phyllis) McLoud, Lois (Chris) Jensen, Donna McLoud, Anne (Ron) Raner, Alex (Lynette) McLoud; step-daughter, Jean Meadows; brothers, Arthur and Phillip Dunn; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sons, Ithiel G. "Sonny" McLoud in 1992 and Douglas L. McLoud in 1967; husbands, Ithiel McLoud in 1969 and Raymond Delano in 1986.
