Edna Downing

BATH - Edna Downing, 91, of Cameron Place, Bath, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2007 in Gang Mills, N.Y. She was born May, 20, 1916 the daughter of the late Kate and William Acker.

Edna was very proud of being a registered nurse. She went to Hudson Valley Nursing School, where she did her training. Bellevue Hospital in New York City is where she went for her residency. Edna worked as a Head Nurse at Rogers Memorial in Washington, D.C. Her patients loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Carole Bole, her grandson Tom Bole, granddaughter Bridgit Bole, grandson Tim Bole, nephew Clint Acker and two nieces, Laurel Acker and Darlene Acker.

Her Funeral Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Her burial will be held in Rose Cemetery, Rose, N.Y.

Arrangements are being handled by Bond-Davis Funeral Home of Bath.
