Jeanette Hedwige Martin Robbins

BATH - Jeanette Hedwige Martin Robbins went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 21, 2007 in the Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital, Bath, NY.

Jeanette was born on August 13, 1920, the daughter of the late Dennis and Sophie (Soucy) Martin in Van Buren, Maine. Jeanette was one of seventeen children. She was predeceased by six brothers and three sisters. She will be sadly missed by her seven surviving siblings. Five sisters, Germaine Allard of Bath, NY, Lorraine Martin of Van Buren, ME, Rita (Clifford) Murphy of Caribou, ME, Anita (Anthony) Yorkski of Bradford, NY, Lillian St. Pierre of Bath, NY; two brothers, Frederick(Louise) Martin of Bath, NY, Richard (Gail) Martin of Bath, NY; and many nieces and nephews.

Jeanette married her husband Carlton Robbins on January 2, 1960. The couple had been married for fortyseven years when Carl expired on June 2, 2007. Jeanette was a loving and dedicated wife. She was a retiree of Mercury Aircraft as a machine operator. Jeanette enjoyed dancing, crossword puzzles, and crocheting afghans. She volunteered in the Ira Davenport gift shop in the past.

Jeanette was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Bath, NY. Family and friends called August 26 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Fagan's Funeral Home, 31 W. Morris Street, Bath. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, August 24, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 32 East Morris Street, Bath, with Rev. Gerald O'Connor presiding and Deacon Ray Defendort assisting. Interment followed in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Bath.
