Pucker up

PHOTO PROVIDED Joyce House, youth services coordinator at the Dormann Library in Bath, prepares to give a heifer named Kurly a kiss in fulfillment of a promise to kiss a cow if at least 150 area children signed up for the library's summer reading program and accumulated a total of 450 reading hours. More than 180 children participated in the program and read a total of 786 hours. Kurly was brought to the library by Kyle Weaver of Blue Gill Farm in Bath. She won a blue ribbon at the Steuben County Fair.
