Ira Davenport Hospital to host health fair, 10K walk and run

BATH - Ira Davenport Hospital will host a community health fair on Sept. 8 that includes the hospital's first annual Wellness Walk and 10- K Run.

Area health and wellness organizations will be on hand from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to provide information to visitors. There also will be free health screenings, refreshments, door prizes, chair massages and activities for children.

The Wellness Walk will begin at 8:30 a.m. with the run to follow at 9 a.m. Participants may register from 7:45 to 8:45 a.m. The registration fee is $15 on the day of the race. A team/family registration fee is $50 and covers up to four people.

The course is 6.2 miles long and includes hills, and paved and dirt surfaces. It starts and finishes at the hospital.

Medals, certificates and other prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in each category. The first 100 registrants also will receive a T-shirt.
