James E. Buck

BATH - James E. Buck, 78, of Green Acres Trailer Park, formerly of Wayne passed away Friday, August 24, at the home of his daughter in Corning.

He was born Oct. 5, 1928 in Penn Yan, the son of Robert and Pearl Hayden Buck.

His wife Shirley A. Buck passed away on Nov. 10, 2005.

James was a plant operator for the Bath VAMC retiring after 31 years of service and he was a Army veteran.

Surviving are his son Col. David (Stella) Buck of Peyton, Colorado; daughter Linda (Albert) Johnson of Corning and Joan Jones of California; brother Erwin (Rosie)Buck of Hammondsport; 11 grandchildren Kristi Holmes, Kelly (Matthew) Wilson, Brian (Courtney) Segar, Thomas Buck, Jamie Stimpson, Patrick Buck, Chris Jones, Jennifer Jones, Kevin Jones, Joshua (Susan) Johnson and Margo Johnson; 6 greatgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews and his beloved puppy Raggs.

Friends called Monday, August 27, from 1-3 p.m. at the LaMarche Funeral Home of Hammondsport where funeral and committal services were held Monday at 3 p.m. Rev. Paul J. Rowley officiated and interment in Pleasant Valley Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.
