Bath Eels host first Southern Tier Swim League Championship On July 21, the Bath Eels Swim Club hosted its first Southern Tier Swim League Championship Meet. 19 teams participated with about 366 swimmers. The teams ranged from Binghamton to Alfred. The Bath Eels with only 16 swimmers placed 16th overall with a total of 141 points. Corinne Smith placed 4th in the Under 8 class-25 yard Breaststroke event and 5th in the 100 yard IM. Sera McNally placed 10th in the Girls 9-10 class-50 Yard Butterfly. Caleb Smith placed 4th in the boy's 9-10 class-50 yard Breaststroke and 6th in the 50 yard backstroke. Tyler Easterbrook placed 9th in the boy's 13-14 class-100 yard backstroke and 14 in the 100 yard freestyle. Bath Eels is a not-for-profit program that encourages young swimmers and introduces them into the sport. For more information contact Dan Easterbrook at 776-2867.
