Joan M. Galligan

CAMPBELL - Joan M. Galligan, age 58, of 8961 State Route 415, Campbell died Thursday, August 30, at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Galligan was born in Corning on Dec. 4, 1948, the daughter of the late Walter and Eleanor (Wilcox) Tubbs. She was the wife of the late Charles Donald Galligan. He predeceased her on Jan. 8, 2006 after 35 years of marriage.

Joan was a 1967 graduate of Corning-Painted Post West High School. She was employed for 14 years with the Social Security Administration in Corning where she was a Court Clerk.

Joan enjoyed crafts, bingo, camping, and spending time with her friends and family, especially her beloved grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter: Tammy Bundy of Campbell; one son: Eric (Catrina) Galligan of Campbell; two sisters: Sharon (Douglas) Vanderpool of Athens, Pennsylvania, Jenny Sue (David) Reynolds of Valencia, Pennsylvania; three brothers: William (Joyce) Tubbs of Painted Post, James (Lorraine) Tubbs of Painted Post, and Ted (Sandra) Tubbs of Painted Post; grandson Marc Bundy of Campbell; granddaughters Miranda Bundy and Meghan Mullaney, both of Campbell; and many nieces

and nephews.

Friends called Tuesday, Sept. 4 from 6-7 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 17 W. Pulteney St. in Corning. A memorial service followed at 7 p.m. with Reverend Kim Falkenberg of the Christian Hope Center of Corning officiating. Burial was held at the convenience of the family.
