• What a weekend! T'was the Curtiss Museum's Seaplane Homecoming and the flight of the rebuilt "America". Friday there were Seaplane rides, weather and availabilty permitting on seaplanes rides during events! A Viking "Spirit" Co c ktail Cruise, called "Meet the Pilots. Yesterday Museum Tours and Seaplane Rides. A pm Glenn Curtiss Salute (Seaplane Parade Around Keuka Lake 2- 5pm Inaugural) Flight of the Curtis "America." (The World's largest Flying Multi-Engine Biplane with a 72 Wingspan) Dining With Glen, Dinner at the Museum: Happy Hour- 5:30pm-Dinner at 7:30pm. At the G.C.Museum of Local History, Friday, September 21 - November 4, 07 will be a Quilt exhibit featuring Local quilters! And of much interest to all is the fact that Curtiss is planning for future 100th anniversary Celebrations is one of their missions like the June Bug in 2008- the Albany Flyer, 2010; and the birth of Naval Aviation in 2011!

• Dancing? On Edge Dance Studios, formerly Extensions Dance Studio, is up in Bath conveniently located at 52 Liberty Street. Classes started September 10, offering Tap/Jazz Combo, Tumbling/Acro, Ballet, Dancin' Toddler Programs for kids 3 and 4; adult Classes for A Musical Theater Irish Step and Pointe and Modern for adults. • Hammondsport Central School Retired Teachers and Staff has its monthly Retiree Breakfast Wednesday, September 19, at 9 am. at the Chat-A-Whyle, Bath.(Darsi's in Hammondsport is now closed on Wednesdays, our special day.)

• Anyone in Steuben County who needs help with a few activities in order to stay independent and in their own homes, should know that there is some help called Faith-In-Action now available to them in the eastern part of the county! In the Bath area, call Project Care at 607-664-2298. The program is primarily for seniors over 60, and are primarily possible because of networking caring volunteers!

Church News:

•St. Gabriel's Catholic Church: As we begin the Fall/Winter Liturgical Minister Schedule, we would appreciate all altar servers, cantors, Comunion ministers, greeters, and lectors letting the parish office know of weekends you will not be available between September and December 30.

• St. James Episcopal Church: St . J ames Crafters have begun again to work on items for the Holiday Bazaar. For more information, speak with Nancy French or Jan Smith about the upcoming September 27 event in the Undercroft of the church.

• First United Methodist Church: Yesterday, September 15, Centenary Methodist in Bath, hosted a special Men's Breakfast to build fellowship and break down walls among Christian brothers! Dave Trpiciano, founder of "My Father's World Ministries" was the featured speaker. Ash Kohout has moved to 4401 Bennett's Cove, Pulteneyville, NY. Her phone number is 315- 589-3650. All the church misses her greatly and wish her well in her new location.

There is a l2:l5pm Sunday School picnic today with Sunday School beginning again next Sunday at 9:45am. Monday, the 17th at 6:00PM is a Praise Team rehearsal in the Sanctuary. At 7:00pm the Ad Council meets in the Fellowship Hall. Wednesday, the 19th: 6:00AM Promise Keepers (Fellowship Hall) 4:00PM: Ladies Bible Study; 6:00PM Prayer Meeting; 7:00Pm Choir.

• First Presbyterian Church of Hammondsport and Pulteney Presbyterian Church thank all who came to work, or helped with food for the recent yearly Progressive Church Dinner for The local Chapter of the National Red Cross. For the First time ever, we had the main course!

The Farmers Market and Bake Sale in front of the church continues into earley Autumn. Please bring and

fruit/vegetable produce +

and baked goods for sale. If you can work a few hours, let Bryan or Georgina know!
