Possession of stolen property

State police in Bath last week arrested Daniel J. Anderson, 31, of 7760 Loucks Pond Road, Avoca, on charges of third degree possession of stolen property following ATV accident on Loucks Pond Road.

Police allege Anderson was the operator of a stolen ATV that crashed at about 7:30 a.m. July 29. Anderson also allegedly left the scene of the accident.

Anderson also was ticketed for aggravated unlicensed operation, driving an unregistered ATV, failure to display plates, speed not reasonable and prudent, uninsured operation and unlawful operation of an ATV on a highway.

He was arraigned in Avoca town court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or a $2,000 property bond. He is to reappear in court at a later date.

Accident

Steuben County Sheriff's deputies last week charged a 79-yearold Florida woman with failure to yield the right of way following a threecar pile-up at the intersection of state Route 54 and county Route 88 in the Town of Urbana.

Dorothy R. Pomeroy of Brooksville, Fla., allegedly turned left into the path of an oncoming southbound vehicle operated by Franklin D. Walczak, 27, of Hammondsport. Walczak's vehicle then crashed into a vehicle operated by John F. Bogart, 44, of Bath that was stopped on state Route 54 waiting to make a left turn. Following the three-way collision, all operators and passengers were transported to area hospital for treatment of minor in juries.

The Hammondsport fire department, Bath fire department and Bath and Hammondsport ambulance corps assisted at the scene.

Pomeroy is to appear in Urbana town court at a later date.

Warrant

Sheriff's deputies last week arrested Terry L. Campbell, 21, of Campbell on a warrant charging him with violating probation. He was arraigned in Bath village court and will reappear in court at a later date.
