CROP Walk Oct. 14
Registration scheduled for 10:30 a.m. same day at St. Thomas Church

BATH - The Greater Bath Area 2007 CROP Walk, slated for Oct. 14, will mark CROP's 60 years of compassionate giving to impoverished people everywhere.

Founded in the aftermath of World War II, CROP, a branch of Church World Service, provides emergency relief to vic- tims of poverty, war, and natural disaster, most recently assisting victims of flooding in Central America and the American Midwest.. CROP additionally contributes to Church World Service's multi-faceted selfhelp programs, assisting with everything from fish farming projects to literacy classes.

Walkers also help stop hunger at home. Area food pantries and the Pro-Action Nutrition Program for the Elderly receive 25% of the proceeds of the Walk.

Registration for the 10K Walk is scheduled for 12:30 at St. Thomas' Church in Bath on Oct. 14. Anyone wishing information about arranging
