Let's reel them in

To the Editor,

I don't see any other opportunity knocking! I've lived here in the Bath area all my life, and we've had some nibbles, but nothing until Wal-Mart, so let's reel them in. The only thing I see growing is houses and most of them go up for sale. As for wages, $7.15 is the minimum wage all stores pay. For instance Tops, K-mart and Sugar Creek all start out at minimum wage. Also tell me what store doesn't sell items made from China, Taiwan, Mexico and Indonesia. Look around your house: TV, DVD, computer and clothes... where are they made. What about your car, American or foreign, be careful some are made in Canada. Something else to think about is your food. Are you sure it was grown in America?

If there is a water source at this site, let Wal-Mart tap into it. As Bath grows with new homes you have to give them water, sewer, protection, so what's the difference? We can't have another department store but by God we need another drug store.

If you fussed more about the "Adult" book store as much as Wal- Mart maybe it wouldn't be here.
