The church has discovered that a "secret gardener," Barbara Barden visiting from Sarasota, Florida, was weeding and trimming the bushes all summer. It seems that Ms. Barden spends hours keeping the memorial garden at her home church in Florida and she couldn't resist helping St. James, for which the church is truly grateful.
