Steuben American Legion to host national commander

The Steuben County American Legion will host National Commander Martin Conatser Oct. 27 at Canisteo Memorial Post 846, located on Canisteo's West Main Street.

Conatser and his wife, Sharon, live in Champaign, Ill. They are a strong Legion family with one son, Rick, serving as a Legion member through his service in the U.S. Army, and two other sons and a grandson, Richard, Bryan and Tanner, serving as members of Sons of the American Legion.

Mrs. Conatser, daughtersin law and granddaughters are members of the Legion Auxiliary.

Cocktails and appetizers will be served from 6 to 7 p.m., with dinner at 7 p.m.

Dinner tickets are $28, and deadline for reservations will be Oct. 13. Send check to Padraid O'Hare, 9 Bush Ave., Wayland, NY 14572, made payable to Steuben County American Legion.
