Wedding announcement

Miss Jane M. Yorksi, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Yorski, Sugar Hill Road, Bradford, and Mr. Robert W. Smith, son of Mrs. Elizabeth Smith, White Deer, Pennsylvania, and the late Clifford Smith, were married at 2 p.m. Sept. 9 at the home of friends of the couple, James and Jeanette Taft, Dee Road, Campbell. Judith Peppard officiated at the double-ring ceremony.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents. She wore a white floorlength, long-sleeve chiffon gown with sweetheart neckline and a flowing sheer overlay. The gown was adorned with small white beads and a Guardian Angel pin presented to the bride by the groom's daughters, Amanda and Heather. She wore an initial "J" diamond necklace belonging to her late Aunt Jeanette Robbins, who passed away in August 2007. Her veil was attached to a ring of fall-colored roses and sunflowers. She carried a bouquet of assorted fall-colored roses and sunflowers.

Jeanette Taft, friend of couple, was matron-of-honor. Bridesmaids were Jill Sellers, niece of the bride, Sarah Sellers, sister of the bride, and Shirley Scotchmer, friend of the bride. They all wore long back denim shirts with white long-sleeve peasant blouses and each carried a small bouquet of assorted fallcolored flowers. Miss Sarah Allen, friend of the bride, was flower girl. She wore a black knee-length dress adorned with white bows on each shoulder. She also carried a small bouquet of assorted fall-colored flowers.

Best man was John Smith, brother of the groom. Ushers were David Stryker, James Taft, and Jerry Champlain, all friends of the couple. Ring bearer was Sean Sellers, nephew of the bride.

A reception for approximately 100 immediately followed the wedding. Music was provided by D & J Connection, Avoca.

Mrs. Smith is a graduate of Bradford High School and is employed by Steuben Churchpeople Against Poverty (SCAP) as a Housing Advisor in the Corning office.

Mr. Smith is a graduate of Griffith Institute/Central School. He is employed as a truck driver for Preferred Supply, Inc.

The couple honeymooned in the Adirondack Mountains and will reside in Campbell.
