BATH - Authorities have not yet determined if charges will be filed against a Bath man who burned down an abandoned Faucett Road house Friday night, Nov. 9.
Troopers said the man owned the rural home, but likely violated state environmental laws by burning it down.
Officials with the State Department of Environ mental Conservation will decide if charges will be filed.
Troopers have not released the name of the homeowner.
No injuries were reported among the firefighters who responded to the blaze, according to police. The house was totally destroyed.
According to state law, arson charges can not be filed unless the homeowner files an insurance claim on the property.
