Confused in Avoca

Speaking for myself and other concerned Avoca taxpayers, why was the town clerk and assessor clerk paid for one of the town's grant projects when both employees have to make out a voucher for their pay and purchases and office supplies bought?

These vouchers have to be submitted to the town board and approved, so apparently when they were paid in two different segments they were approved by the town board and paid. So who is at fault here?

As a Avoca resident I would like to think that these ladies were paid for one of the town's grant projects, that the project was not completed and should have not been paid by the supervisor.

Question: also why was a new lock set and padlock put on the door of the room of the town clerk , who has done the job for fifteen years and is the one to hold the key and is suppose to have full access to the room at all times? With the room being padlocked I believe that this is a good reason why the project could not be completed. Speaking out for many of the Avoca taxpayers, something does not add up here.

Also why was assessor clerk Karen Pragle not properly called into the office or town board meeting and told that she was being terminated instead of hearing by word of mouth and reading it in the newspaper when she returned from her vacation. Until this day she has not been told professionally that she was terminated.

Shame, shame on you for causing so much heartache on both of this life long residents and town employees.
