Alfred J. Elwell
LOWMAN - Alfred J. Elwell, 82, of Lowman, previously of New Port Richey, Florida passed on to a better place Wednesday, Nov. 14.
Alfred was born on Jan. 4, 1925, son of the late Floyd and Bertha Elwell.
Survived by his wife, Alice Janowski; son, Steve Elwell of Oregon; daughter, Marilyn Paulo of Horseheads; step-daughter, Martha Davis; sister Virginia Woodcook of Florida; grandchildren, Colter and Taylor Elwell of Oregon, Mark Paulo of Horseheads; an d Tammy Leonard of North Carolina; niece Sue (Steve) Stephens of Florida; nephews Doug, Gary and David; great grandchildren, Joshua, Anthony, Jeremy, Colby, Cheyanne, Jacob, Matthew, Marcelas and Allysia; step grandchildren, John, Cynthia, Sharon and Cheryl; step great grandchildren Stephanie and Allyssa.
He was predeceased by his brother Robert Elwell.
Alfred served in WWII and retired from Emhart Powers in Elmira. Alfred loved racing and anything automotive, he lived to go to the racetrack, then later to watch NASCAR on TV.
Alfred's family welcomed relatives and friends to Sullivans Funeral Home in Horseheads on Friday, Nov. 16 where a funeral service was held directly following calling hours. The family greatly appreciates all lthose who remembered Alfred.
