Friends of Dormann Library welcoming new members BATH - Looking for some new friends? Consider joining Friends of the Dormann Library. The non-profit organization is dedicated to supporting the library through fundraising, educational programs and promotion of the library's many resources. Friends of the Dormann Library are community members who volunteer their time assisting library staff and organizing special events, including The Halloween Spookfest and Story Contest, Black History Month and the Benjamin Franklin Birthday Party. Friends of the Dormann Library also are planning a spring book and bake sale and a high school poetry contest. The group also has contributed a children's puzzle collection to the library's holdings and keeps the library supplied with paper and ink cartridges so that students can use the library's computers for homework. Individuals looking for employment opportunities can also use the computers for resumes. Anyone interested in joining Friends of the Dormann Library should contact Jackie Crocker, Judy Jaromin or Mary-Ann Robinson, or call the library directly at 776-4613. |
