Dormann Library sponsoring logo contest for cafe

BATH - The Dormann Library's coffee and pastry cafe at last has a name: "Chapters," the winning title submitted by Bath Post Office employee Barbara Albert in the library's recent naming contest.

Now the library is looking for a representative logo. And it's sponsoring a logo contest with a grand prize worth $60.

Area artists and art students are encouraged to submit a logo design proposal, which can be dropped off at the library on paper, or submitted digitally.

Anyone interested in designing a Chapters logo is encouraged to visit the cafe to study the layout, color scheme and menu.

Once a winning design is chosen, it will become the sole property of the library, to be used on mugs, signs, menus, ads and brochures. The winner will be chosen by the library's board of trustees and the Cafe Expansion Committee.

The grand prize winner will receive a $10 gift certificate for Chapters pastries, coffee and other beverages. In addition, the winner may choose one prize from the following options: a $50 gift certificate for Barnes and Noble; a $50 gift certificate for Amazon.com; a $50 gift certificate for iTunes.

E-mailed submissions may be sent to berryc@stls.org. Paper-drawn submissions may be given to any Dormann Library staff member.

Deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11.
