The blotter Accident State police in Painted Post last week charged Aaron Haight of Cameron with following another vehicle too closely after Haight drove into the rear of a Addison school district bus on county Route 119 in the Town of Rathbone. There were no injuries. Police say the bus was carrying 29 passengers and was stopped with its flasher activated at the time of the collision. Possession of a weapon Bath village police last week charged Justin D. Heinle, 31, of Arizona with criminal possession of a weapon after Heinle contacted police to report he had been assaulted. A subsequent investigation revealed Heinle was in illegal possession of a pistol. He was arraigned in Bath village court, where he pleaded guilty and paid a $310 fine. The assault investigation is continuing. Controlled substance Village police last week arrested Cheetaara M. O'Neal, 21, of 666 Genesee St., Rochester, on two charges each of thirddegree possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. The charges stem from a five-month investigation into the sale of crack cocaine in the Village of Bath. Several area police agencies participated in the investigation. Violating order Village police last week charged Tammy Lynn Counterman with sixthdegree conspiracy for allegedly violating an order of protection. In a related matter, David Strassburgh, no address given, was charged with seconddegree criminal contempt, also for violating an order of protection. Counterman is to appear in village court at a later date. |
