Bath - Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital last week announced it has broken ground on a new state-of-theart rehabilitation center to be located on the hospital's campus in Bath.
The facility is to be named for Joseph F. Meade Jr. one of the hospital's founding members.
The Joseph F. Meade, Jr Outpatient Rehabilitation Center will be a 4,692 square foot, one- story building housing outpatient rehabilitation services, including: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology and a free Sports Medicine Clinic. The center will be built with funding through a HEAL NY II Grant, which matches 100% of funds raised by the community throughout 2007 and 2008.
"The construction of the Joseph F. Meade, Jr Outpatient Rehabilitation Center is further evidence of our commitment to extending our continuum of care in our community", commented James B. Watson, FACHE and CEO of Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital.
