Bath Chamber of Commerce to award 2007 honors BATH - Three area individuals, two community organizations and one commercial business will be honored Feb. 2 when the Greater Bath Area Chamber of Commerce holds its annual dinner at the Bath Country Club. Michael Buck, who bought, renovated and reopened the Bath Drive-in Theater, was named business person of the year. Wilkins RV, the sprawling recreational vehicle dealership on state Route 415, was named business of he year. Greg Rougeux will receive the Chamber's Community Citizenship Award, while Bill Caudill will be honored as Chamber member of the year. Cornell Cooperative Extension has been recognized as agri-business of the year, a new category of award for the Bath Chamber. Catholic Charities has been cited as non-profit organization of the year. The Chamber traditionally awards two memorial scholarships to graduating Haverling High School seniors. In 2008, the organization will award the scholarships in the names of the late Woody Shirley and Jeff Johnson. Shirley was the owner of Shirley's Lumber on state Route 54; Johnson the owner of The Gold Mine on Liberty Street. |
