Pulteney library remembers 2007, looks ahead to a busy new year From special events to wreath making, scrap booking, stamping, movie nights, watercolor painting, free computer classes and story hour, 2007 was a busy year at the Pulteney Free Library. Three programs were sponsored by The ARTS of the Southern Finger Lakes in 2007. Tom Fox taught cartooning, and Sandi Cirillo instructed a group in types of felting, called "especially ewe." Paul Stillman entertained as "Nasty Ned the Frontiersman" The Library invites the public to visit during the new year. Activities will include crafts, arts, special programs and children's. Movie Night Schedule: Jan. 27: "North by Northwest" Feb. 24: "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" March 30: "A Farewell to Arms" April 27: "The Pink Panther" Movies start at 7 p.m. with popcorn and drinks provided. The movies are shown on a big screen and are DVD presentations. Bring a comfortable chair or chair pad to fully enjoy the movie. for more information, call 868-3652. Jan. 18 at 7 p.m. is the first date for watercolor painting. This activity is held about once every month, with future dates to be announced. From the accomplished to the notso accomplished, anyone is welcome to attend and try their hand at this medium. Paints, brushes, paper are supplied or bring your own. A good time by all is usually guaranteed. New Computer Classes are being planned. The library welcomes input from the public regarding past classes and subject matter for future classes. Story Hour is held on Saturdays from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Come join the fun; Stories, Crafts, Refreshments plus interaction with children. Call 868-3652 for further information on any programs. |
