CHAMPS
For the second year in a row, Pro Action of Steuben and Yates, Inc.'s CHAMP program (Caring Hearts and Minds of Pro Action) tapped into the talents of their employees to get involved with the Southern Tier Hospice Comfort Shawl Program. The program began in 1998 as a way to comfort patients with a hand made shawl or lap blanket. Over the past two years, Pro Action staff has donated approximately 40 blankets and/or shawls to Southern Tier Hospice. Pictured at left are Volunteer Coordinator Nancy Simpson of Southern Tier Hospice, Pro Action employees JoAnn Kester and Jeanne Keeney, and C.H.A.M.P. Coordinator, Amey Rusak. For more information about Pro Action's C.H.A.M.P. program, call 776-2125 extension 308.
