With the game knotted at 26 at halftime, Waverly limited Bath to just two points in the third. However, the Wolverines managed only six points of their own in the third and led by only four going into the fourth. In the final quarter, Bath out scored Waverly 19-8 to pull away for just its second victory of the season. "The third quarter wasn't fun to watch for anyone," Bath head coach Randy Brzezinski said. "What we discovered was that defense kept us in the ballgame. And in our two wins this season, we had great defensive intensity." Bath's Michael Rossi earned all-tournament team honors and put together a doubledouble with a game-high 18 points and 10 rebounds. Andre McCloud did a little bit of everything for the Rams and also managed a double double with 13 points, 11 rebounds, three assist s and three steals. |
